ENTRY FEES

The entry fees for the Australian Carpet Series are calculated by the demands of organizing big indoor international races. Every racer needs to pay his or her entry fee in advance via PayPal or bank transfer. 

Entry fee for the first class: AUD 90
Entry fee for the second class: AUD 60

Entry fee for the third class: AUD 30

Entry fee for the fourth class: AUD 20

TYRE PRICING

Race tyres are available through online race registration and will also be purchasable from Campbelltown Hobbies’ trackside store at the event.  For planning purposes, we would prefer pre-order and payment with your race entry.

Tyre pricing is set at AUD 29.95 for buggy front or rear, and AUD 39.95 for truck front or rear.

2WD Front tyres are controlled, and will require narrow (carpet style) front rims to be installed on.  All tyres come complete with required foams.

A maximum of 3 complete sets are allowed per race vehicle for the controlled portion of the event (seeding, qualifying and mains).  An unlimited number of tyres is allowed during the various practice sessions.

TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

GENERAL TYRE RULES

All tyres must be fitted using the supplied and matched Schumacher foams.  No modifying of the tyre or carcass is permitted.  2WD tyres should be fitted to a narrow (carpet style) rim.

FRONT TYRE RULES

You can apply some CA-glue to the outside of the tyre to change the handling of the car if deemed necessary.  2WD Buggy front tyre inserts are optional and can be used as a tuning aid.  All other classes are to have the inserts fitted.

CHASSIS AND TOWER PROTECTORS

While they are not specifically mandated, it is highly recommended, and would be greatly appreciated to have both chassis and tower protectors on all cars.

BATTERIES

Australian Carpet Series allows any ROAR or EFRA approved 2S hard case LiPo battery packs. LiPo batteries have to be charged in a special charging bag.

Max. battery voltage: 8.40 volts.

If a driver comes to technical inspection with 8.41 volts or more they will not be allowed to start in their next heat until the voltage is at or below 8.40 volts total.

ELECTRONICS

The use of a Gyro or other electronic driving aids are not allowed.

TYRE ADDITIVES

No tyre additives are allowed.

MOTOR RULES

Australian Carpet Series approves any current ROAR or EFRA approved motors.
